The Hub of Public Safety
Formed in 1993, the Hawkins County Emergency Communications District, home of Hawkins County 911, is the sole Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for all emergency communications via 911 within Hawkins County, Tennessee.
In addition to providing 911 service to the thousands of visitors and residents of Hawkins County, the emergency communications district direct dispatches for 22 public safety agencies, serves as the terminal agency coordinator for the National Criminal Information System (NCIC) for all law enforcement and criminal justice agencies within Hawkins County and serves as the addressing/GIS authority for Hawkins County and the municipalities within.
The agency employs dedicated Emergency Communications Specialist. Our headset heroes process over 106,000 phone calls, 64,000 incidents, half-million radio transmissions and thousands of NCIC entries annually.
